On 17 May at 9 pm, a space dedicated to constructive journalism and reflections on the current media landscape, to the mass media as a predominant presence in our media diet, and to the predominant languages of mainstream news.
The evening sees Silvio Malvolti, founder of the Italian Constructive Journalism Association, as a guest of Asti Popular School. The experience of the Association, the only organization in Italy for the dissemination of constructive journalism, offers valuable insights into the multiple possibilities of language that can characterize news.
The objective of the constructive approach is to double the point of view from which events are observed – even on critical facts – allowing the writer to give readers a reading that is not abstract, but, on the contrary, three-dimensional and contextualized, including the solutions, and not just the problems, in the narrative.
The webinar is part of the cycle of appointments of the Asti Popular School, dedicated to the in-depth study of issues of public interest.
